Why Felsted Choral Society needs Sponsors ( Return to the Home page) Felsted Choral Society exists to enable all those who demonstrate some musical ability, to sing with a group of like-minded people. It doesn’t matter at what level of competence they are, there are no auditions and the rehearsals are designed to enable everybody to meet the challenge of the music and enjoy the satisfaction that such achievement brings. Music is written to be performed and the concerts the Society gives are well supported by our paying audiences. However, it is important that these events are of the highest standard, which requires a professional conductor, orchestra, soloists, and accompanist at rehearsals. Subscribing members donate annually but this income together with ticket sales is not enough to cover all the costs of the previously mentioned professionals and various printing costs for tickets, posters, programmes and hire of music scores. So how do we make up the shortfall? We are generously supported by Felsted School, who provide us with free rehearsal and performance venues. In addition, the United Reformed Church allow us the use of their building and then, there are our sponsors who ensure that we have the resources to enable all who want to sing the chance and all who wish to listen, the opportunity to enjoy a very high standard of performance. What does your Company gain? Your Company by sponsoring Felsted Choral Society will be playing an important part in the social life of the community. In addition, you will have the chance to advertise in our programmes at Concerts and all year round on our web-site which last season (Sept 2008 to Aug 2009) received around 55,000 hits which translated into 16,000 visits of which 1,600 were from the UK. We also have many visitors from Europe as well as China. These numbers have increased every year in the five years that the site has been in existence and so far this trend looks set to continue. So far this season (Sept 2009 to Aug 2010) the site is receiving around 500 visits a week. If you wish to take up this opportunity, you will be asked to provide a copy of your Company LOGO which will be placed on our Home page.
