Rehearsal News

Rehearsals for Mozart's, Vesperae Solennes de Confessore and Dyson's, Four Songs for Sailors are now taking place.

Ticket Purchase

Concert tickets are available about a month before a concert from any Society Member, at the door or by phoning 01371 82162.

Severe Weather Conditions

To check whether a rehearsal will take place in the event of an emergency, such as heavy snow, you can phone the hotline 01371 821621 for information as it may not be possible to update this website in time.

Marking Hired Copies

Please remember to only use pencil to mark music scores as all marks have to be erased by our Librarian before hired copies are returned.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place from 8 pm to 10 pm with a break at 9pm when refreshments are provided. Please be ready to start promptly.

Over the next few months a new Music School is to be built so alternative venues will be used. Rehearsals will generally take place in the United Reformed Church apart from the third Thursday in the month (marked in blue) when they will be held in Toad Hall. The Open Rehearsal on September 27th will take place in the Chapel. Members will be informed of sudden changes by email. Please note that the rehearsal on 22nd November 2007 is in Toad Hall.

Additional Rehearsals

These will be held at 2:30pm on the Sundays of 18th November 2007, 20th April 2008 and 8th June 2008

Dress Rehearsals

These are mandatory for all performers and will be held in Felsted School Chapel or other venue on the afternoon of each concert. Precise timings will be announced nearer the date of the performance.
