2011 -2012 Season

Library Notice to Members

Please place your name, details of voice part and manilla folder reference number, on the label inside your black concert folder.

The rehearsals on Thursday, 9th February 2012 and Thursday, 8th March 2012, will take place in Toad Hall.

The New Music School

Hired Copies

Please use a soft 2B pencil to mark music scores, as all marks have to be erased by our Librarian before hired copies are returned.

Members not intending to sing in a concert should return their copies before that concert.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place in the Music School on Thursday evenings from 8pm to 10 pm with a break at 9pm during which, tea and coffee are provided. Please be ready to start promptly. Car parks are situated close by.

Occasionally, when it is known that we are to use other rehearsal venues, members are informed during the previous rehearsal and the information is posted on this site or emailed to them. Similarly, if a rehearsal is cancelled due to severe weather, we will do our best to notify you. However, at all times, it remains the responsibility of the individual to decide whether to travel.

Additional Rehearsals

These will be held a week before a performance on the following dates:

Sunday, 30th October 2011 at 2:30pm
Sunday, 11th December 2011 at 2:30pm
Sunday, 15th April 2012 at 2:30pm
Sunday, 27th May 2012 at 2:30pm

Dress Rehearsals

These are mandatory for all performers and will be held in Felsted School Chapel or other venue on the afternoon of each concert. Precise timings will be announced nearer the date of the performance.

Annual General Meeting 2011 - 2012 Season

This took place on Thursday, 20th October 2011, chaired by the President of Felsted Choral Society, the Headmaster of Felsted School. The Chairman of the Management Committee thanked all who had worked for the Society during the year. The audited accounts were presented and the Director of Music spoke of a very successful season during which we had received outstanding reviews. The Chairman thanked the Headmaster for the generous support given to the Society by Felsted School.
